Our 2015 Altostratus Pinot Noir is beginning to enter its ideal drinking years. We’ve heard it’s emerging as one of the best BC Pinot Noir available, according to respected wine palates.

Altostratus – one of the best Pinot Noir in BC.

In our short 11 years of making Pinot Noir, we’ve found that our wines seem to be best when they’re between the 4 and 7 year bracket. With some exceptions, of course.

The 2015 Altostratus is big. It’s not your average BC Pinot Noir. The colour is dark, the structure is assertive and the complex of fruit and secondary flavours is in perfect harmony.

The 2015 is our current release. We ship free to any Canadian province on orders over $100. To get your order in, just follow this link.

It’s summertime! That means ‘roadtrip’ to us…

Our winemaker Brad is making his summer trip to the Kootenays and southern Rockies .  He’ll be delivering wine and meeting new and established customers. He’ll be pouring Pinot Noir samples too! It starts July 3 and ends July 6.

A range of Black Cloud Altostratus vintages…

He’ll be bringing a selection of our Altostratus Pinot Noir .  This includes the 2014 and 2015 vintages. Customers and resellers have an opportunity to taste ‘vertically’ through several vintages.  They’ll experience the nuanced differences in each wine.  All of Black Cloud’s Altostratus production has been sourced from a single Okanagan Falls vineyard since 2008.

He’ll be travelling east from the Okanagan Valley and will include Grand Forks, Castlegar, Nelson, Rossland, Creston, Cranbrook, Golden and many points between. If you live or are visiting in the area, he’d be glad to say ‘hi’ and pour some Pinot Noir for you.  Just contact him here.

Our RED SKY rosé is the perfect sipper for those warm days ahead.  Best to get some now, it’ll be lone gone in a flash.  We’re approaching a SELL OUT.  → Read more
